Tosca Fairchild

Tosca is currently the Delivery Director for Equality & Health Inequalities and Intensive Support at NHS England and NHS Improvement, East of England Region.

She is also the Chair for Show Racism the Red Card, an organisation that advances the education of the public, in particular but not exclusively, young people. This organisation harnesses the high profile of professional football and the position of professional footballers as role models, in order to work towards the elimination of racial discrimination both in football and society in general. As Chair, Tosca leads the organisation in setting the vision, developing the strategy, and ensuring that there is appropriate board composition in place to act in the best interest of the charity.

Prior to her current NHS post, Tosca was Assistant Chief Executive at North Staffordshire Combined NHS Trust. She is a highly experienced executive and has held a number of board level positions in the NHS. She has spent most her career in the NHS leading on major organisational restructuring projects for challenged trusts. This included taking a Keogh Trust out of special measures and the merger by acquisition of Burton and Derby hospitals. She was subsequently awarded a prestigious award by the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSA) for the innovative governance solutions developed to create of one of England’s largest NHS trusts with an annual turnover of circa £800m employing 12,500 staff.
